Our consultation team responsible for gastrointestinal tumors is not only specialized in the multidisciplinary treatment and care of patient with tumors of the esophagus, stomach, intestines (small intestine, colon), pancreas, gallbladder, and biliary ducts , but also with neuroendocrine tumors (especially neuroendocrine carcinoma) and cancers with unknown primary (CUP syndrome) as well.

Through the close cooperation with other departments of the MH (in particular surgery, radiotherapy, pathology, and radiology), we are able to offer our patients the entire spectrum of modern tumor therapy:

The presentation of all patients in the interdisciplinary tumor conferences guarantees the best possible use and correct sequence of treatment options.

Furthermore, we also have a wide range of clinical trials with new medications. We can offer a clinical study for almost every therapy situation for our patients within the framework of our Gelsenkirchen-wide network.
